Love GenX Style Contest entry #15
Remember the story with the most votes wins the "date with your spouse" gift certificate! If you haven't yet submitted a story...what are you waiting for? :)Today's entry is from Deborah S.
I met my husband online. I didn't mean to...I signed up for a 3 month trial just to get my family and friends to leave me alone. They were getting worried about me...a 30 something missionary teacher. I even purposely set out to communicate with guys overseas and out of state.
Mostly because I thought it was safer. Well, the laughs on me because I met Aaron almost immediately. He was in Australia. I was in America. Safe.
Soon things moved beyond online. He was calling, three and four hour phone conversations. I guess I found it easier to be myself thinking this couldn't possibly go anywhere because he was on the other side of the world.
We met in September, by November he had purchased plane tickets to visit in December. He flew to America and proposed December 28th. We were married March 3rd in America. He returned that February to marry me. Whirlwind!
The Lord lead us all the way. It's truly amazing what happens when you allow God to have control.
